Raymond Roberts AKA Ray Ronson, Hypnosis Trainer in Cardiff Valley, UK - Fake PhD

We were alerted about this individual by the name of Raymond Roberts aka Ray Ronson. He operates Capital Hypnotherapy teaches hypnosis courses under the name of "Elestial Training" in Cardiff Valley, UK. 

He claims to have received an "honorary doctorate" from the Society for Information, Protection, and Education of Consumers (SIPEC-Europe) in recognition for his contribution to the spreading of knowledge and to scientific research.

Most people we know who have honorary doctorates don't actually refer to themselves a doctor. When we saw Raymond Roberts' website, our senses gathered that something didn't seem quite right. 

So we researched SIPEC. Yes, there is a SIPEC, but it appears that Raymond Roberts is the only individual who has ever claimed to have received an honorary doctorate from SIPEC. Therefore, his "contribution to the spreading of knowledge and to scientific research" must be earth shattering. Of course, we wonder what this contribution might be? Yet, there appears to be no research background in Roberts' CV. 

And, even if he did earn such a doctorate from SIPEC, we question what SIPEC's authority to issue a doctorate would be. 

We're calling this guy out as a PhD sham.

Michael Sheehan, Fake Master's Degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Kent UK

We've been focusing a lot on folks who have falsely claimed to have earned legitimate doctorates. However, we would also like to cast light on those who falsely claim to hold Master's Degrees.

Today we have Michael Sheehan of HypnoSpirit located in South East, Kent UK  (hypnospirit.co.uk and hypnospirit.org), of claims to hold a Master's of Science in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Of course, he doesn't state from where he earned it, nor does it matter since there are NO legitimate, accredited master's degree program in clinical hypnotherapy anywhere in the world.

Hypnotist Convicted For Sexually Assaulting Client and Having Child Porn

In a shocking story which recently appeared in this news, Philip Sherwin, a hypnotist located in Leicester, UK, fondled a teenage client while she was hypnotized. While investigating the matter, hypnotists found over 44,000 images of child pornography on his computer. The judge who convicted Sherwin "slammed the apparent lack of regulation for hypnotherapists after hearing he had just a one-week course and a two-day seminar on the subject before setting up in practice."

Barry Neale, Fake PhD, Essex UK

Barry Neale, PhD Scam Artist. This jerk BOASTS that he is one of only a handful of hypnotists in the UK who has earned a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy and a PhD in Counseling Psychology. He has claimed to have earned his doctorate through "Calamus University"

Looking closer at Calamus University, the Whois description of the website owner lists the address as 27 Old Gloucester Street in GB, which is a remailer so that a person could appear to have a prestigious address.

According to Calamus' website, their accreditation reads, "

Calamus Extension College Ltd. certificates and diplomas are private UK qualifications. The college is independently fully accredited by the International Association for Distance Learning, a private, non-governmental accrediting body that specifically accredits distance learning colleges.

 

Calamus Extension College Ltd. certificate and diploma qualifications are not under any British national or governmental qualifications accreditation framework. In the UK, it is legal to issue certificates and diplomas in many fields without government authority or approval and there are very many UK private sector schools that do so especially in the areas of complementary therapies, personal development, business training  and vocational skills.

So now we know they are not accredited. But let's look further at the the International Association of Distance Learning. Our research yields that absolutely no government entity in the world recognizes this organization to accredit any degree.

In other locations, we found that Barry Neale claimed to have earned his doctorate through Huntington Pacific University (see our page on Huntington Pacific University), the American Institute of Hypnotherapy, another degree mill that hands out unaccredited "degrees," and the American Pacific University, also an unaccredited degree mill (see http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/Education_Degree_Scams_Unaccreddited.php).


As such, we conclude that Barry Neale is a FRAUD and purchased his so-called "PhD" from a degree mill.

Jonathan Royle aka Alex Smith aka Alex Leroy aka Alex Alexander FAKE DOCTORATE

Jonathan Royle aka Alex Smith aka Alex Leroy aka Alex Alexander of Huddersfield, England. I don't know if this guy is mentally imbalanced or what. Apparently he was banned from BBC for exposing himself on air. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-17480/TV-hoaxer-appears-Trisha.html

Google "Alex Smith" or any of his other pseudonyms and the word "Scam." Judging from the NUMEROUS complaints one can find about this guy. Of course, we're here today to discuss the fact that he claims to have earned a doctorate (or at least calls himself Dr. on his web banner, in his introduction, and in his copyright information).

This next guy posted something on YouTube in support of Jonathan Royle, but I think he has some sort of mental disability because I can't understand a word he says:

Smith-Royle-Leroy-Alexander doesn't bother to state where he earned his doctorate. A reader once told me that he once claimed to have earned seven doctorates. No further research is necessary about this scam artist.

We affirm that this guy, and all his names, is a scam artist who does not hold a doctorate.

A reader tipped us off about this one. In the Yahoo group, http://health.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/The_Art_Of_Hypnosis/message/838, Royle claims to have earned a Doctorate in Psychology from Chelsea University.

Then he admits to the degree being non-accredited. But then he purports that somebody named Geoffrey Niman a solicitor/lawyer who stamped it on behalf of the UK Government to make it "LEGALLY in England...just as good as any accredited degree."

Does anybody else see the red flags? Let's investigate.

 Mr. Niman himself comments on the use of "apostille" and their stamping of the degree. Mr. Niman's function is to administer oaths (equivelant to a Notary Public in the US). The other stamp indicates that the document is an original document. In other words, an oath was taken by Royle, Smith, Whatever that his document was a real document. Just as real a document as your newspaper, box of Cheerios, and telephone bill. Mr. Royle or whatever his name is, completed fabricated the part about it being "just as good as any accredited degree." As such, we affirm that Alex/Jonathan Royale, Smith, Alexander DOES NOT hold a PhD and is, therefore, a degree FRAUD.
