Lisa Halpin - San Francisco PhD FRAUD

Lisa Halpin of San Francisco, CA is a very highly respected member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. She claims to have earned a PhD from the now-defunct American Hypnosis Institute of California. I guess the NGH doesn't abide by its own Code of Ethics because, if they did, this PhD-Fake wouldn't be practicing anything related to hypnosis. No doubt, she makes them a lot of money so I'm sure they "overlook" her pathological lie. The American Hypnosis Institute was a degree mill where, if you sent them money, they would send you a degree. What gives this charlatan the right to say she earned a degree? If her work was truly effective, she wouldn't have to hide behind a fake credential.

"Dr." Mike Mandel - HypnoFake of Toronto, CA

email-mike-mandel-final-060.jpgMike Mandel of Toronto, CA claims to hold a PhD in Clinical Hypnosis. Come on, Mike! Everybody knows that such a degree doesn't exist! Yet, you post YouTube videos about why you charge so much, because you are THAT good. Well, "doctor," if you are THAT good then you wouldn't have to create a bold-faced lie about your credentials. If you are THAT good, then you wouldn't have to create a FAKE doctoral degree. Yet, every time you say your name, you preface it with "Dr." Oh, and you are regarded as the "World's Greatest Hypnotist." By whom? Perhaps by the same people who conferred your non-existent PhD?

Christa Van Der Smissen = Van Der FAKE DOCTORATE

Christa K. Van Der Smissen of Exeter, NH, Londonderry, NH, and Andover, MA is yet another FAKE who claims to have a doctorate in clinical hypnotherapy but doesn't say from where. That's because NO SUCH DOCTORAL PROGRAM EXISTS. Yet, she blatantly refers to herself as Dr. Van Der Smissen every chance she gets. Her email address is listed as drchrista@drvandersmissen.com and her website is drvandersmissen.com. She just loves to call herself "doctor," doesn't she?

William Hathaway - New Hampshire FAKE DOCTORATE

William Hathaway, of the White Mountain Hypnosis Center in Madison, NH claims to have a "Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy granted by the State of California." If you have been following this blog, you will know at least one thing: there are no accredited doctoral programs anywhere in the world. If you are at least a little bit intelligent, you will also know that state's don't confer degrees, university's do. He was actually elected as to be a fellow of the National Guild of Hypnotists, who apparently refuse to uphold any sort of code of ethics they supposedly have. Shame on you, William Hathaway, for calling yourself a doctor and lying to the people who you supposedly help!
